American Liver Foundation

American Liver Foundation
Charity Mission:
The mission of the American Liver Foundation is to facilitate, advocate and promote education, support and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver disease.
Deep River Snacks founder, Jim Goldberg, is a father of 3 young boys. His middle son, Meyer, was diagnosed in January 2010 with PSC (Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis) and Crohn's Disease – both diseases that affect the liver. Therefore, the American Liver Foundation has been an important organization to the family.

The Goldberg family is actively involved in raising funds to support the American Liver Foundation by participating in the Liver Life Walks ever since Meyer was diagnosed with liver disease. Naming his team, Meyers Dragons, each year Meyer's team has grown and raised more and more funds. This is why 'We Give A Chip' about the American Liver Foundation and promote this organization on the back of our Mesquite BBQ kettle chips.

It's not just Meyer, 30 million Americans are personally affected by liver disease. To learn more, visit their website at www.liverfoundation.org.
